Dr. Saira Shamim, MBBS

Dr. Saira Shamim graduated from King Edward Medical University in 2024. Along with her internship at Mayo Hospital in 2025, she passed her USMLE examinations.

The cases they managed as a team led her to work on case reports. Following her internship, she joined a meta-analysis mentorship that honed her skills and led to the submission of a meta-analysis in Neurology.

Currently she is shadowing Dr. Suri at CentraCare Hospital, Minnesota, hoping to learn more in neurology and contribute to the clinical side. This experience has strengthened her aim to follow what she truly wants to achieve as a clinician. The US healthcare experience has reiterated her university motto "Altapete" (to seek the highest).

She intends to keep giving her best, as she has done in the past, and believes that "the challenges we face in this arduous journey are the core refiners of our skills." She hopes to sharpen her skills and contribute to impactful research under the mentorship of Dr. Adnan Qureshi.
